These are a great option if you don't have a cutting machine or embroidery machine!

Just like HTV (heat transfer vinyl), these appliqués are applied with an iron or a heat press.  But unlike HTV, these come in colourful designs!
Apply them to fabric, leather, vinyl, or any material that you can apply heat to without it melting.  Use Teflon sheet or parchment paper to protect your material from direct heat.
Apply them directly to your material, or press them onto a piece of cork and vinyl, and make your own tag!  Or use them to decorate your favourite clothing, or a canvas pencil case, or backpack, or a book cover that's made of fabric.

I think these would look especially cool on a black background, so that from a distance, the eyes and white teeth appear to be floating!

Sold individually.
The design measures 38mm (1.5") wide, and 25mm (1") tall
They have a matte finish.
The black background is 100% cotton woven fabric, and the turquoise background is litchi grain vinyl.  The second photo is me peeling the transfer paper off after pressing and letting cool all the way.

How to apply them:
Press the fabric to remove moisture if necessary, for 5 seconds.
You have two options-

Hot Peel:
Temperature: 300oF (approx 149oC) / warm or wool setting on your iron
Time: Press for 15 seconds
Pressure: Firm
Press, don't slide! Keep your iron in one place while fusing.
Peel the film off as soon as you're done pressing.  Be careful when peeling to make sure the entire design has released from the transfer sheet.  If it is still on the transfer sheet, press the design for another 5 seconds.
Once peeled, you can press the design for an additional 5 seconds to increase its durability.  Use a Teflon Sheet or parchment paper to protect the design and your material!

Cold Peel:
Temperature: 300oF (approx 149oC) / warm or wool setting on your iron
Time: Press for 10 seconds
Pressure: Medium/Firm
Press, don't slide! Keep your iron in one place while fusing.
Remove your project from the heat and lay flat to cool.  Once it is cool to the touch, gently peel the transfer sheet from the design.  If it is still on the transfer sheet, press the design for another 5 seconds.
Once peeled, you can press the design for an additional 5 seconds to increase its durability.  Use a Teflon Sheet or parchment paper to protect the design and your material!

These come packed with a small piece of parchment paper behind the design, to protect it from being scratched.  If you are going to press the design for an additional 5 seconds after peeling, you can use that piece of parchment paper on top of the design to protect it from direct contact with your iron/press (unless your material melts from heat, in which case, you will need a large protective Teflon sheet or parchment paper to protect your whole project).
Application instructions also come with each transfer, so you don't need to come back here when you're ready to apply it.

Storage Tips:
- Don't bend the transfer.  The crease may become permanently visible when applied to your project.
- Be careful not to touch or scratch the back side of the transfer. It will damage the ink of the design.
- If you are going to be storing your transfers for a long time, remove them from the bag.  Trapped humidity inside the bag could damage the ink of the design.

DID YOU KNOW?

MATTE BLACK FINISH

In a nutshell, the black finish is a thin coating on top of a silver coloured base metal like zinc or aluminum. It's gorgeous, but it isn't perfect. Be aware that the matte finish is more prone to showing imperfections, and the coating in general can wear off over time. If you scratch it with something sharp, the silver underneath can become visible.
It's all soooo worth it though - you can have matte black make a statement, or take a back seat to your fabric and let it pop. Your choice!

ZIPPERS AND WEBBING

They are cut by the meter (not yard)- but a meter is 39.5". I like to round up to 40" when I measure and cut your order, so you get a little more than a meter each time!

HOW MANY PRODUCTS

How many darkest bag supplies are in this shop? As of August 2024, there are over 350 products in store!

THE AFA TEAM

My partner recently lost his job so he's come to help me! He inspects and packages the products when they arrive to AFA HQ, he prepares your loot bags, and he packs your orders. But I still write the love notes on your packing slips though! <3

CUBBIES

CUBBIES:
Check the shipping options at checkout and choose the one that applies to your situation:
- Start My Cubby,
- Add To My Cubby,
- Ship My Cubby.
Shipping fees must be paid when starting your cubby. Follow the instructions of the appropriate shipping option to find out how to remove shipping fees on additional orders.
If you don't choose the correct shipping option, we won't know what to do with your order, and that could delay you getting your goodies!

ONE MORE THING

Hey - thanks for visiting my little shop today!
It exists because you are here! <3
